Empress Moves: Cafe Con Libros, Brooklyn, NY

You all know there is nothing I love more than a good coffee shop and  the only thing I love more is a good bookstore. So imagine the level of my geekage when I heard there is a coffee shop AND bookstore that is owned and operated by an Afro-Latinx woman on one of my favorite planets (looking at you, Brooklyn)! Then when I popped in on the website and read this description about the café “Café con Libro is a feminist community bookstore catering to folks who are book lovers, coffee aficionados, or both.”, I knew it was true love! You know I’m out in the world until April but I need you all to go check this out and buy some books on my behalf!

Café Con Libro is located at 742 Prospect Place in Brooklyn (big up Crown Heights) and is opened Tues through Fri 7 am- 6 pm and weekends 8 to 7 and 8 to 5 on Sat and Sun.

And they have a book club! Looks like January’s book was the Alchemist! I’m going to do some digging to see if I can find out some more the folks behind this beautiful brainchild.
